We work with high school students and their families to identify the goals, interests, values and strengths important to them in choosing a college. With that information and our college admissions experience, we will first connect the student with a list of college options. Then, we will work to follow through with the application, essay, admissions, financial aid, scholarship and decision-making process.
Our Program
Information and planning are key to reducing the anxiety and stress of the college admissions process. At Your College Connector, we gather information from our clients through personal interviews and questionnaires. We use this information to provide a targeted list of colleges that match those goals, interests, values and strengths. We work together as a team through the admissions process: reviewing essays, keeping up with deadlines, identifying writers of letters of recommendation, getting impact letters from them, and preparing for interviews. Identifying and completing scholarship and financial aid forms are part of our program. When the admissions process is complete, we can help you decide which college to attend.
By starting this process in the 9th, 10th or 11th grade year, we will make sure that students are building on their strengths. We will advise students on class selection, how to balance school and community activities, summer planning, test scheduling, test preparation, and tutoring. This early planning in high school will lay the ground work for college success.
